FRIDAY BAND

Taberna del
Diavolo

Italy / 9:15 pm

Taberna del Diavolo is an Italian Folk Rock project that intertwines ancient sounds with modern power. Bagpipes, drums, and flutes blend with electric guitars, bass, drums, and vocals, creating an intense and powerful sound. Live, the music becomes a spectacle: ritual and engaging dances accompany the performances, drawing the audience into a magical, energetic, and intoxicating atmosphere.
The band reworks ancient melodies and reinvents them through medieval and traditional influences, reinterpreted in a rock key. Each performance is an immersive journey, enriched by original stage designs and costumes inspired by medieval and fantasy worlds. Between rearranged pieces and original compositions, Taberna del Diavolo builds a musical experience of sounds and colors, unleashing a provocative and hypnotic dance that captivates and overwhelms the audience.
In their street formation, they change their name to Muse del Diavolo, to let ancient melodies lost over the centuries resonate once again, with the intention of awakening the connection with Nature and humanity’s primordial instinct. An instinct that, with the advent of the Middle Ages, was weakened and suppressed, eventually becoming forbidden and demonized. That demon—the Devil—they carry in their name together with its cure: the Muse.
By “Muse” they refer to the CornaMusa (Italian bagpipe): an instrument that, contrary to what one might think, has its roots in the heart of the Italian peninsula, in an ancient and primordial time. They will present their album “Subterranea.”
Le Muse del Diavolo will perform in Muggia during the second stop of “Triskell Itinerante” in Piazza Marconi at 11:30 a.m.
