THURSDAY BAND

Selfish Murphy

Selfish Murphy

Hungary / 9:15 p.m.

Selfish Murphy was formed in 2011 with one clear mission: to bring the raw and festive spirit of Celtic culture and Irish pub life to the stage — and then push it to the limit with punk energy.
Their songwriting blends the engaging charm of traditional Irish melodies with the power and drive of modern Celtic/Irish Punk, and their live shows are packed with high-energy songs ready to make the audience sing and dance. The band performs great Irish classics such as Drunken Sailor, Dirty Old Town, Danny Boy, and Wild Rover — all in fast, powerful, and electrifying versions — while also reinterpreting modern hits in an Irish Folk style.
The set is completed by their own original tracks — simple, dynamic, and perfect for a night of beer and chaos — such as Drinking Song, Drunken Bastards, and Bad Girl.
Selfish Murphy have already performed at Triskell, always achieving great success with the audience, who become actively involved in the band’s driving sound rather than remaining mere spectators.

In short: Cheerful songs + Beer + Party = SELFISH MURPHY.
To date, the band has performed in 19 European countries: United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Serbia, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, France, Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, Finland, and Denmark. The most beloved band of Triskell returns in a new formation, with a fifth member on drums.
