WORKSHOP

Flame Manipulation
In nature, fire is the only element that human beings have been able to recreate for thousands of years. For this reason, flames evoke deeply rooted emotional archetypes within us.
The aim of this workshop is to learn how to build a fluid relationship with fire, starting from the flame itself, overcoming the innate fear of this element and approaching its ancient fascination with serenity, awareness and competence. Participants will learn to draw nourishment from the subtle energies generated by the attempt to connect the divine with the earthly.

The work will focus both on the element itself and on deepening the self-awareness of those who wish to relate to fire. An appropriate breathing technique will be taught, understood also as a path toward self-discipline and self-control. These are essential both for managing the risks connected to fire and for experiencing this practice with a constant sense of safety.

Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June at 7:00 pm.

During the Fire workshop we will explore:

– breathing
– movement
– fire safety and environmental awareness
– techniques of pyric expression and fire manipulation
– body awareness

Contribution required: €20.00 per person to cover consumable materials.

Instructor: Federico Fassina (Firetales), fire performer with 15 years of experience, educator in social and educational circus, and teacher of breathing techniques and body disciplines.
