For years the association has been an active partner of Ass. Cult. Uther Pendragon in the various editions of the Triskell Festival. The ASD has around fifty members. Falconry Demonstrations with Eddy’s Birds of Prey and Stray Falconry

Rapaci di Eddy.png

They were born from a passion passed on to them by a dear friend, whom they wished to honor by creating this project. Before a certain event, birds of prey were completely unknown to them… during the development they experienced fears, doubts and many questions, but in the end they succeeded!

“…falconry is an art and, as such, it must come from the heart – just like our heart that has undertaken this journey.”

They will be at Triskell with 3 sessions per day, interacting with the public on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June, with registration at the infopoint required. They will also set up a 6-meter historical tent and bring several species of birds of prey.

The “Glove Baptism” is included in the registration.

Falconry Demonstrations with Eddy’s Birds of Prey and Stray Falconry

Stray Falconry.png

Stray Falconry is an association dedicated to protection, education and outreach in the field of falconry and birds of prey. Although it was formally established in 2026, the association is built on the decades of experience of its members, gained through collaborations with other organizations and with law enforcement authorities in the rescue and recovery of wildlife, particularly birds of prey.

Stray Falconry mainly specializes in bird control and in the history of falconry from a Norse and Celtic perspective, carrying out various studies on the subject.

All the animals present in Stray Falconry come from situations where the previous owners had to give them up or were no longer able to manage them.

By an ethical choice of the founder, each animal is a bird of prey that has been given a second chance, through care, rehabilitation and reintegration into activities compatible with its well-being.

The association currently has a large animal collection, including buzzards, falcons and nocturnal birds of prey.
The president of the association, Alessio Iaboni, has over 10 years of experience in bird control, historical reenactments with birds of prey, and educational outreach activities about birds of prey and falconry in schools and cultural institutions (currently also in the province of Ferrara).

The association has several specialized birds, some of which are specifically trained for the ecological dispersal of pigeons.

The goal of the association is to promote a conscious, ethical and sustainable culture of falconry, serving the local territory and wildlife protection.

A.S.D. Trieste Scherma Storica

Founded in February 2016, A.S.D. Trieste Scherma Storica is dedicated to the research, reconstruction and practice of European martial arts, from the Middle Ages to the early decades of the 20th century.
After a first preparatory year focused on the use of the British infantry sword, members can pursue four learning paths, each related to fencing traditions of different historical periods: medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and Risorgimento-era fencing.

Wondertell

Wondertell is a project dedicated to role-playing games, creating immersive narrative experiences for teenagers and adults. Its goal is to provide a safe environment where personalized and continuous stories can be told through ongoing campaigns, one-shot sessions and special events, always ensuring professionalism and quality.
Wondertell does not simply aim to “let people play”, but rather builds dynamic worlds in which the choices of the participants have a real impact on the story.
Wondertell has already collaborated with numerous organizations in Trieste in the creation of themed role-playing events, and continues to offer weekly and customized campaign experiences in host shops.
Working alongside the Historical Fencing demonstrations, Wondertell aims to create a space for historical outreach and education through one of the most powerful tools for storytelling and learning: role-playing games.
or this reason, role-playing sessions will be organized around the different fencing disciplines and historical periods taught by A.S.D. Trieste Scherma Storica.
With a style focused on storytelling, quality of the table experience, and welcoming even newcomers, Wondertell turns every session into a shared, unique and unrepeatable moment.
The playful engagement is further enhanced by the original interaction between what is played and what is seen.

Veya

Veya is a storyteller: she walks through the woods, listens to what surrounds her, and gathers stories to tell. Veya is a narrative character, but the person who portrays her has a strong academic background and many years of experience working with children and sharing stories.
When she is not a storyteller, Veya is Pamela Tedesco, graduate in Cultural Heritage Studies (archaeological field) and Master’s degree holder in Philology and History of Antiquity.
Over the years she has worked as a historical researcher and as a teacher in lower secondary school.
